First of November

Interesting day - cold and clear overnight with frost this morning. Everything started out foggy. The first bird I observed was an Anna's Hummingbird at our feeder around 8.30. Things picked up slowly. Even with a tour of Finley, my total today was 26 species. Clear weather but cold and crisp. Much of Finley is now off limits for five months. The path to Cabell Marsh is now the boardwalk.

But this isn't all bad. Today, I saw a Red-Breasted Sapsucker on this path.
